Carl Brothers
I have taught high school art for 36 years. I began my teaching career at B&B, Baileyville, at the junior high, where I was for four years. During that time, I also taught elementary a couple years and K-12 the last year there.
After a three year vacation, my hippie years when I was a substitute teacher and bartender at Bob's Sirloin Room, in Seneca, I began teaching at USD 380, Centralia and Frankfort. I taught art there for 30 years.
During the summer of 2012, I moved back to my hometown, Cherryvale, KS, to teach two more years. During this time, I worked in my own studio and made pottery and exhibited throughout the midwest. In the past few years, I have concentrated on painting in both watercolor and oil. What I have to show today is the culmination of these experiences.
