Maury & Bonnie Berggren

Maury 7 Bonnie met in the Art Dept at Bethany College, Lindsborg. they studied under John Bashor; Maury graduated with a degree with Art Education and Commercial Art. He later came to KSU and got a Masters' Degree in Ceramics. He taught in Plainville, Ks. , setting up art programs in High School and Elementary. He taught art in Manhattan Highschool for 29 years. He went on to stained glass and has done many Churches; his book "Images" relates much of his works. He received "best in show" in Fienza, Italy while at Bethany.

Bonnie studied at Ft. Hays State and graduated in Education at KSU with a minor in Art and Music. She attended Arizona University and also North Park Seminary. She designed and built Teacher Awards cast in epoxy for ten years for Master Teacher. She has done ten years of Prison Ministry in Topeka and has done stained glass for seven Churches. She owns a farm in Washington Co, and still does some work there for exercise. She was raised on a farm near Clifton, Ks. and h combined many acres of wheat in her younger days. Encaustic painting is her favorite art medium. She feeds many birds and animals at their home in Manhattan, Ks.
